Notice of a Commission Determination Not to Review an Initial Determination Granting Return of Bond; Termination of Bond Return Proceeding; Certain Light-Emitting Diode Products, Fixtures, and Components ThereofSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission (“Commission”) has determined not to review an initial determination (“ID”) (Order No. 28) of the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”), granting a motion filed by RAB Lighting Inc. of Northvale, New Jersey (“RAB”) seeking a return of its bond. The bond return proceeding is terminated.”
Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs): Effects of FTZ Policies and Practices on U.S. Firms Operating in U.S. FTZs and Under Similar Programs in Canada and Mexico; Submission of Questionnaire and Information Collection Plan for Office of Management and Budget ReviewSummary from the ITC: “The information requested by the questionnaire is for use by the Commission in connection with Investigation No. 332-588, Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs): Effects of FTZ Policies and Practices on U.S. Firms Operating in U.S. FTZs and Under Similar Programs in Canada and Mexico.”
Helical Spring Lock Washers From China and Taiwan; Termination of Five-Year ReviewsSummary from the ITC: “The Commission instituted the subject five-year reviews on April 1, 2022 (87 FR 19134) to determine whether revocation of the antidumping duty orders on helical spring lock washers from China and Taiwan would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. On June 13, 2022, the Department of Commerce published notice that it was revoking the orders effective May 26, 2022, because no domestic interested party responded to the sunset review notice of initiation by the application deadline (87 FR 35733). Accordingly, the subject reviews are terminated.”
Certain Televisions, Remote Controls, and Components Thereof Notice of Request for Submissions on the Public InterestSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that on June 28, 2022, the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”) issued an Initial Determination on Violation of Section 337. The ALJ also issued a Recommended Determination on remedy and bonding should a violation be found in the above-captioned investigation. The Commission is soliciting submissions on public interest issues raised by the recommended relief should the Commission find a violation. This notice is soliciting comments from the public only.”
Certain Electronic Devices Having Wireless Communication Capabilities and Components Thereof; Notice of a Commission Determination Not To Review an Initial Determination Terminating the Investigation as to Blu Products, Inc.; Termination of the InvestigationSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission (“Commission”) has determined not to review an initial determination (“ID”) (Order No. 23) of the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”), terminating the investigation as to respondent BLU Products, Inc. of Doral, Florida (“BLU”) based on a settlement agreement. Because BLU is the last remaining respondent, this investigation is terminated in its entirety.”
Certain Portable Battery Jump Starters and Components Thereof; Notice of Commission Determination Not To Review a Final Initial Determination of Violation of Section 337 With Respect to Two Trademarks, and To Review and, on Review, Affirm a Finding of Violation With Respect to a Patent; Schedule for Filing Written Submissions on Remedy, the Public Interest, and BondingSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has determined not to review a final initial determination (“Final ID”) issued by the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”) finding a violation of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, with respect to U.S. Trademark Registration Nos. 4,811,656 (“the '656 mark”) and 4,811,749 (“the '749 mark”) by defaulting respondent Zhejiang Quingyou Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd. (“Zhejiang Quingyou”) and with respect to the '749 mark by defaulting respondent Shenzhen Mediatek Tong Technology Co., Ltd. (“Mediatek”). The Commission has further determined to review in part and, on review, affirm a finding of no violation with respect to U.S. Patent No. 10,604,024 (“the '024 patent”) based on the complainant's failure to satisfy the technical prong of the domestic industry requirement. The Commission requests briefing from the parties, interested government agencies, and interested persons on the issues of remedy, the public interest, and bonding based on the schedule set forth below.”
Notice of Receipt of Complaint; Solicitation of Comments Relating to the Public InterestSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has received a complaint entitled Certain Video Processing Devices and Products Containing the Same, DN 3626; the Commission is soliciting comments on any public interest issues raised by the complaint or complainant's filing pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure.”
