Here are the latest updates in trade, straight from the ITC Federal Register, from June 7, 2021 to June 11, 2021.

Determinations from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject five-year review, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that revocation of the antidumping duty order on barium chloride from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United States within a reasonably foreseeable time.”

Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has received a complaint entitled Certain Networking Devices, Computers, and Components Thereof, DN 3550; the Commission is soliciting comments on any public interest issues raised by the complaint or complainant's filing pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure.”

Determinations from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject five-year reviews, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that revocation of the countervailing duty order on carbazole violet pigment 23 from India and the antidumping duty orders on carbazole violet pigment 23 from China and India would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United States within a reasonably foreseeable time.”

Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice of the scheduling of the final phase of antidumping investigation Nos. 731-TA-1546-1549 (Final) pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”) to determine whether an industry in the United States is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the United States is materially retarded, by reason of imports of thermal paper from Germany, Japan, Korea, and Spain, provided for in subheadings 4811.9080 and 4811.9090 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, preliminarily determined by the Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) to be sold at less-than-fair-value.”

Determinations from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject investigations, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of imports of raw honey from Argentina, Brazil, India, Ukraine, and Vietnam, provided for in subheading 0409.00.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, that are alleged to be sold in the United States at less than fair value (“LTFV”).[2]”

Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has received a complaint entitled Certain Casual Footwear and Packaging Thereof, DN 3551; the Commission is soliciting comments on any public interest issues raised by the complaint or complainant's filing pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure.”

Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission (“Commission”) has determined not to review: An initial determination (“ID”) (Order No. 11) issued by the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”) partially terminating the investigation with respect to certain respondents; and an ID (Order No. 12) terminating the investigation with respect to the sole remaining respondent and thereby in its entirety. The investigation is hereby terminated.”
