Notice of Request for Submissions on the Public Interest; Certain Laparoscopic Surgical Staplers, Reload Cartridges, and Components ThereofSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that on June 8, 2021, the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”) issued an Initial Determination on Violation of Section 337. The ALJ also issued a Recommended Determination on remedy and bonding should a violation be found in the above-captioned investigation. The Commission is soliciting submissions on public interest issues raised by the recommended relief should the Commission find a violation. This notice is soliciting comments from the public only.”
Certain Foodservice Equipment and Components Thereof; Notice of Request for Submissions on the Public InterestSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that on June 4, 2021, the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”) issued an Initial Determination on Violation of Section 337, and on June 10, 2021, the ALJ issued a Recommended Determination on remedy and bonding should a violation be found in the above-captioned investigation. Cancellation of Hearing for Final Phase Countervailing Duty and Anti-Dumping Duty Investigations; Utility Scale Wind Towers From India, Malaysia, and SpainSupplementary Information from the ITC: “Effective March 19, 2021, the Commission published its schedule for the final phase of these investigations (86 FR 20197, April 16, 2021). Counsel for the Wind Tower Trade Coalition filed its request to appear at the hearing on June 4, 2021. No other parties submitted a request to appear at the hearing. On June 7, 2021, counsel withdrew their request to appear at the hearing. Counsel indicated a willingness to submit written responses to any Commission questions in lieu of an actual hearing. Consequently, since no party to the investigation requested a hearing, the public hearing in connection with these investigations, scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021, is canceled. Parties to these investigations should respond to any written questions posed by the Commission in their posthearing briefs, which are due to be filed on June 17, 2021.”
Potassium Permanganate From China; Scheduling of a Full Five-Year ReviewSummary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice of the scheduling of a full review pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”) to determine whether revocation of the anti-dumping duty order on potassium permanganate from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.”
Foreign Censorship Part 2: Trade and Economic Effects on U.S. Businesses; Proposed Information Collection; Comment Request; Foreign Censorship QuestionnaireSummary from the ITC: “In accordance with the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the U.S. International Trade Commission (Commission or USITC) hereby gives notice that it plans to submit a request for approval of a questionnaire to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and requests public comment on its draft proposed collection.”
Notice of Receipt of Complaint; Solicitation of Comments Relating to the Public InterestSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has received a complaint entitled Certain Silicon Photovoltaic Cells and Modules with Nanostructures, and Products Containing the Same, DN 3552; the Commission is soliciting comments on any public interest issues raised by the complaint or complainant's filing pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure.”
Pressure Sensitive Plastic Tape From Italy; Termination of Five-Year ReviewSummary from the ITC: “The Commission instituted the subject five-year review in March 1, 2021 to determine whether revocation of the antidumping duty order on pressure sensitive plastic tape from Italy would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. On June 7, 2021, the Department of Commerce published notice that it was revoking the order effective April 14, 2021, because no domestic interested party filed a timely notice of intent to participate. Accordingly, the subject review is terminated.”
Seamless Refined Copper Pipe and Tube From Vietnam; Cancellation of Hearing for a Final Phase Anti-Dumping Duty InvestigationSupplementary Information from the ITC: “Effective February 1, 2021, the Commission published its schedule for the final phase of this investigation (86 FR 10994, February 23, 2021). On June 1, 2021, petitioners American Copper Tube Coalition and its constituent members, and interested party GD Copper USA Inc. (collectively, “domestic producers”), requested that the Commission cancel the hearing for this investigation if no other party requested to appear at the hearing before the June 8, 2021 deadline for such request. On June 8, 2021, petitioners reiterated the proposal to cancel the hearing, and clarified on June 10, 2021 that they were withdrawing any request to participate in a hearing. Counsel indicated a willingness to submit written responses to any Commission questions in lieu of an actual hearing. Consequently, since no party to the investigation has requested a hearing, the public hearing in connection with this investigation, scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on June 15, 2021, is canceled. Parties to this investigation should respond to any written questions posed by the Commission in their posthearing briefs, which are due to be filed on June 22, 2021.”
