Certain Digital Set-Top Boxes and Systems and Services Including the Same; Institution of InvestigationSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on April 22, 2022, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of Broadband iTV, Inc., of Austin, Texas. Supplements to the complaint were filed on April 27, 2022, May 3, 2022, May 10, 2022, and May 12, 2022. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain set-top boxes and systems and services including the same by reason of infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent No. 9,866,909 (“the '909 patent”); U.S. Patent No. 10,555,014 (“the '014 patent”); U.S. Patent No. 9,936,240 (“the '240 patent”); and U.S. Patent No. 11,277,669 (“the '669 patent”). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute. The complainant requests that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.”
Gray Portland Cement and Cement Clinker From Japan; Institution of a Five-Year ReviewSummary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it has instituted a review pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), as amended, to determine whether revocation of the antidumping duty order on gray portland cement and cement clinker from Japan would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Pursuant to the Act, interested parties are requested to respond to this notice by submitting the information specified below to the Commission.”
Certain New Pneumatic Off-the-Road Tires From India; Notice of Commission Determination To Conduct Full Five-Year ReviewsSummary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it will proceed with full reviews pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 to determine whether revocation of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on new pneumatic off-the-road tires from India would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. A schedule for the reviews will be established and announced at a later date.”
Steel Concrete Reinforcing Bar From Japan, Taiwan, and Turkey; Institution of Five-Year ReviewsSummary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it has instituted reviews pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), as amended, to determine whether revocation of the countervailing duty order on steel concrete reinforcing bar (“rebar”) from Turkey and revocation of the antidumping duty orders on rebar from Japan, Taiwan, and Turkey would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Pursuant to the Act, interested parties are requested to respond to this notice by submitting the information specified below to the Commission.”
Certain Barcode Scanners, Scan Engines, Mobile Computers With Barcode Scanning Functionalities, Products Containing the Same, and Components Thereof; Institution of InvestigationSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on May 2, 2022, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended on behalf of Honeywell International Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina and Hand Held Products, Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain barcode scanners, scan engines, mobile computers with barcode scanning functionalities, products containing the same, and components thereof by reason of the infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent No. 9,465,970 (“the '970 Patent”); U.S. Patent No. 10,956,695 (“the '695 Patent”); and U.S. Patent No. 11,238,252 (“the '252 Patent”). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute. The complainants request that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.”
Certain Electrolyte Containing Beverages and Labeling and Packaging Thereof; Notice of Commission Request for Written Submissions on Remedy, the Public Interest, and BondingSummary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has determined to request written submissions from the parties, interested government agencies, and interested persons, under the schedule set forth below, on remedy, the public interest, and bonding.”
Raw Honey From Argentina, Brazil, India, and VietnamDeterminations from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject investigations, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of imports of raw honey from Argentina, Brazil, India, and Vietnam, provided for in subheading 0409.00.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, that have been found by the U.S. Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) to be sold in the United States at less than fair value (“LTFV”).2 3”
