Difluoromethane (R-32) From China
Determination from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject investigation, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of imports of difluoromethane (R-32) from China, provided for in subheadings 2903.39.20 and 3824.78.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, that have been found by the U.S. Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) to be sold in the United States at less than fair value (“LTFV”).[2]”
Certain LTE-Compliant Cellular Communication Devices; Notice of Institution of Investigation
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on February 1, 2021, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of Evolved Wireless, LLC of Austin, Texas. Supplements to the complaint were filed on February 22 and 23, 2021. The complaint, as supplemented, alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain LTE-compliant cellular communication devices by reason of infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent No. RE46,679 (“the '679 Patent”); U.S. Patent No. RE48,326 (“the '326 Patent”); and U.S. Patent No. 10,517,120 (“the '120 Patent”). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute.
The complainant requests that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.”
Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice of the scheduling of the final phase of antidumping investigation Nos. 731-TA-1534-1536 (Final) pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”) to determine whether an industry in the United States is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the United States is materially retarded, by reason of imports of methionine from France, Japan, and Spain, provided for in subheadings 2930.40.00 and 2930.90.46 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, preliminarily determined by the Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) to be sold at less-than-fair-value.”
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on February 4, 2021, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. of Korea and Samsung Austin Semiconductor, LLC of Austin, Texas. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain semiconductor devices, wireless infrastructure equipment containing the same, and components thereof by reason of infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent No. 9,748,243 (“the '243 patent”); U.S. Patent No. 9,018,697 (“the '697 patent”); U.S. Patent No. 9,048,219 (“the '219 patent”); and U.S. Patent No. 9,761,719 (“the '719 patent”). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute. The complainants request that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.”
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission (“Commission”) has determined to institute a rescission proceeding in the above-captioned investigation and rescind the general exclusion order (“GEO”) and seizure and forfeiture orders (“SFOs”) previously issued in the investigation. The GEO and SFOs are hereby rescinded, and the rescission proceeding is terminated.”

Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has received a complaint entitled Certain Toner Supply Containers and Components Thereof, DN 3536; the Commission is soliciting comments on any public interest issues raised by the complaint or complainant's filing pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure.”
