Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice of the scheduling of the final phase of antidumping and countervailing duty investigation Nos. 701-TA-656 and 731-TA-1533 (Final) pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”) to determine whether an industry in the United States is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the United States is materially retarded, by reason of imports of metal lockers from China, provided for in subheadings 9403.20.00 and 9403.90.80 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, preliminarily determined by the Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) to be subsidized and sold at less-than-fair-value.”
Common Alloy Aluminum Sheet From Brazil, Greece, and Korea; Termination of Investigations
Summary from the ITC: “On March 8, 2021, the Department of Commerce published notices in the Federal Register of a negative final determination of subsidies in connection with the subject investigation concerning Brazil (86 FR 13289) and negative final determinations of sales at less-than-fair-value in connection with the subject investigations concerning Greece and Korea (86 FR 13300, 86 FR 13307). Accordingly, the countervailing duty investigation concerning common alloy aluminum sheet from Brazil (Investigation No. 701-TA-640 (Final)), the antidumping duty investigation concerning common alloy aluminum sheet from Greece (Investigation No. 731-TA-1480 (Final)), and the antidumping duty investigation concerning common alloy aluminum sheet from Korea (Investigation No. 731-TA-1484 (Final)) are terminated.”
Notice of Receipt of Complaint; Solicitation of Comments Relating to the Public Interest
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has received a complaint entitled Certain LED Landscape Lighting Devices and Components Thereof, DN 3537; the Commission is soliciting comments on any public interest issues raised by the complaint or complainant's filing pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure.”
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission (“Commission”) has determined not to review an initial determination (“ID”) (Order No. 8) of the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”), granting a motion by Complainant Skull Shaver, LLC (“Skull Shaver”) to amend the complaint and notice of investigation to clarify the names of certain respondents and to correct the names of certain respondents.”
Corrosion Inhibitors From China
Determinations from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject investigations, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of imports of corrosion inhibitors from China, provided for in subheading 2933.99.82 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, that have been found by the U.S. Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) to be sold in the United States at less than fair value (“LTFV”), and to be subsidized by the government of China.”
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission (“Commission”) has determined not to review an initial determination (“ID”) (Order No. 22) of the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”) terminating the investigation with respect to the remaining respondents (Amazon, Apple, LG, Microsoft, Motorola, Samsung, and Sony) based on settlements. This investigation is terminated.”
Certain Apparatus and Methods of Opening Containers; Notice of Institution of Investigation
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on January 28, 2021, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of Draft Top, LLC of Long Branch, New Jersey. Supplements to the complaint were filed on February 12 and 19 and March 1 and 2, 2021. The complaint, as supplemented, alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain apparatus and methods of opening containers by reason of infringement of a claim of U.S. Patent No. 10,519,016 (“the '016 patent”). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute. The complainant requests that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a general exclusion order, or in the alternative a limited exclusion order, and cease and desist orders.”
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has determined to affirm an initial determination (“ID”) (Order No. 8) issued by the presiding administrative law judge (“ALJ”) terminating the investigation as to respondent Walker Edison Co., LLC (“Walker Edison”) based on a consent order and to issue a consent order. The investigation is terminated.”
Granular Polytetrafluoroethylene Resin From India and Russia; Determinations
Determinations from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject investigations, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of imports of granular polytetrafluoroethylene resin from India and Russia, provided for in subheading 3904.61.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, that are alleged to be sold in the United States at less than fair value (“LTFV”) and to be subsidized by the governments of India and Russia.[2]”
