Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it has declined to institute a review pursuant to section 751(b) of the Tariff Act of 1930 (the Act) or grant reconsideration regarding the Commission's affirmative determination in investigation No. 731-TA-1296 (Final).“
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on October 14, 2022, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of Bell Semiconductor, LLC of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Supplements to the complaint were filed on October 25, 2022; October 31, 2022; and November 4, 2022. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain semiconductor devices having layered dummy fill, electronic devices, and components thereof by reason of the infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent No. 7,396,760 (“the '760 patent”). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute. The complainant requests that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.“
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on October 19, 2022, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of VideoLabs, Inc. of Palo Alto, California. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain video processing devices and products containing the same by reason of the infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent No. 7,769,238 (“the '238 patent”); U.S. Patent No. 8,139,878 (“the '878 Patent”); and U.S. Patent No. 8,208,542 (“the '542 Patent”). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute. The complainant requests that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a limited exclusion order and a cease and desist order.”
Summary from the ITC: “Correction is made to notice 87 FR 66746-47 which was published on Friday, November 4, 2022, to clarify that the Commission voted to approve the determination on October 31, 2022, and not November 1, 2022. The Commission vote date is hereby corrected in the notice of termination.”
Certain Video Processing Devices and Components Thereof; Notice of Institution of Investigation
Summary from the ITC: “Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on October 24, 2022, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of DivX, LLC of San Diego, California. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 based upon the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain video processing devices and components thereof by reason of the infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent No. 8,832,297 (“the '297 patent”); U.S. Patent No. 7,295,673 (“the '673 patent”); U.S. Patent No. 10,225,588 (“the '588 patent”); U.S. Patent No. 11,102,553 (“the '553 patent”); and U.S. Patent No. 11,050,808 (“the '808 patent”). The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by the applicable Federal Statute. Hardwood Plywood From China; Institution of Five-Year Reviews
Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it has instituted reviews pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), as amended, to determine whether revocation of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on hardwood plywood from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Pursuant to the Act, interested parties are requested to respond to this notice by submitting the information specified below to the Commission.“
Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it has instituted reviews pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), as amended, to determine whether revocation of the countervailing duty orders on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod (“wire rod”) from Italy and Turkey and the antidumping duty orders on wire rod from Belarus, Italy, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Pursuant to the Act, interested parties are requested to respond to this notice by submitting the information specified below to the Commission.“
Tool Chests and Cabinets From China and Vietnam; Institution of Five-Year Reviews
Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it has instituted reviews pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), as amended, to determine whether revocation of the countervailing duty order on tool chests and cabinets from China and the antidumping duty orders on tool chests and cabinets from China and Vietnam would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Pursuant to the Act, interested parties are requested to respond to this notice by submitting the information specified below to the Commission.“
Multilayered Wood Flooring From China; Institution of Five-Year Reviews
Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it has instituted reviews pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), as amended, to determine whether revocation of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on multilayered wood flooring from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Pursuant to the Act, interested parties are requested to respond to this notice by submitting the information specified below to the Commission.“
Softwood Lumber Products From Canada; Institution of Five-Year Reviews
Summary from the ITC: “The Commission hereby gives notice that it has instituted reviews pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), as amended, to determine whether revocation of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on softwood lumber products from Canada would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Pursuant to the Act, interested parties are requested to respond to this notice by submitting the information specified below to the Commission.“
Paper File Folders From China, India, and Vietnam
Determinations from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject investigations, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of imports of paper file folders from China, India, and Vietnam provided for in subheading 4820.30.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, that are alleged to be sold in the United States at less than fair value (“LTFV”) and to be subsidized by the government of India.[2]“
Determinations from the ITC: “On the basis of the record [1] developed in the subject five-year reviews, the United States International Trade Commission (“Commission”) determines, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (“the Act”), that revocation of the countervailing duty order on hot-rolled steel flat products (“hot-rolled steel”) from South Korea and the antidumping duty orders on hot-rolled steel from Australia, Japan, Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, and the United Kingdom would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United States within a reasonably foreseeable time. The Commission further determines that revocation of the countervailing duty and antidumping duty orders on hot-rolled steel from Brazil would not be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United States within a reasonably foreseeable time.[2]“
