What documents does Export Portal request from each type of user?
Here is the list of documents required for each type of user.
- For Buyers: Passport or government-issued ID.
- For Seller: Passport or government-issued ID and Business License.
- For Manufacturer: Tax ID Number, Passport or government-issued ID, and Business License, Export/Import permit
- For Freight Forwarders: Insurance Certificate, Tax ID Number, Passport or government-issued ID, Business license.
There are some additional documents users are asked to upload in some specific situations as well as for upgrading accounts.
How long does Export Portal keep my documentation?
After you pass the verification step, all your documents are deleted from our database. We need your documents only to be sure our users are dealing with legal and real persons/businesses. Your information is not shared, sold, or distributed by Export Portal, their subsidiaries, or any other associated companies for any other purposes.
How does Export Portal make sure the companies which were approved earlier are still legally active?
Export Portal works with reliable Business Registries in order to be sure all the companies registered on our platforms hold a fair business. We also check the social media activity of the potential users. Export Portal ensures you that all companies you are going to work with are legal and active.

What documents are required for customs clearance?
This depends from port of entry to port of entry, but there are some documents that are common to most customs procedures:
- Bill of Entry
- Commercial Invoice
- Bill of Lading / Airway bill
- Import License
- Insurance certificate
- Purchase order/Letter of Credit
All of these documents will be provided in a trade transaction on Export Portal, making the customs process more streamlined.
How to calculate import/export duties?
A duty is a kind of tax payable to the government, charged on goods and financial transactions. Customs Duty includes both an Import and Export Duty. To be able to calculate the customs duties to be paid when trading goods, three factors have to be taken into consideration:

- The customs tariff to be applied
- The origin of the goods

What is the screening process/approval of the buyers/sellers? What if this doesn’t fit the standards of the FF?
Security and transparency are of the highest importance to Export Portal. We ensure the safety of all our transactions by first verifying each user on our platform, preventing fraud, counterfeit items, or scams.
Buyers are required to submit government-issued Into become verified users on Export Portal. Sellers are required to submit government-issued ID and an official business license to become a verified user, and manufacturers are required to submit both of those documents as well as their tax ID number and import/export permit.
If a freight forwarding company requires additional documentation, they can request this from either party during the bid process.
