Vietnam to Impose Temporary Anti-Dumping Duty on Some Chinese Furniture

23 Dec, 2022 07:30

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam will impose a temporary anti-dumping duty this month on some furniture products coming from China.

Beginning in mid-October, a tariff of between 21.4% and 35.2% will be in effect for four months, the ministry announced in a statement late on Monday.

The statement from the ministry said that imports of tables and chairs from China have risen "significantly" and have hurt domestic production.

China is Vietnam's largest trading partner and a significant exporter of supplies and machinery for the country's manufacturing sector.
