200D Datsun

In 1977,  the Datsun 180B was replaced with the Datsun 200B. Almost immediately the Datsun 200B became Australia’s top-selling four-cylinder car, a position it held until it was displaced by the Sigma. The Datsun 200b included several models:

-Datsun 200B SX Sedan

-Datsun 200B GX Wagon

-Datsun 200B GL Wagon

The new  Datsun 200B was designed with extra comfort. Equipped and engineered to give an economical motoring in the '80's. The superb 2-liter fuel efficient engine gives excellent performance and brilliant fuel economy. Actually, this model was created to be a comfortable car for the whole family. The first significant change for the Datsun 200B came in October 1977, with the introduction of the NAPS-Z (Nissan Anti Pollution System) engines, and a change to large bumpers with rubber end caps. The later Datsun 200B models came with ‘phase-matched’ wheels, which meant the tires’ stiff sections matched the lowest-rolling-radius sections of the wheels. This ingenious phase-matched wheel design greatly reduced vibrations and increased riding comfort.
